We are pleased to announce that on October 16th, 2024, at the Greek Ministry of Migration and Asylum, our partner Mrs. Eftychia Pournara presented the new law that updates the legal framework for the Public Investment Program.
Her detailed presentation kept the audience’s attention throughout, which highlights the importance of Law 5140/2024, “New Development Public Investment Program and supplementary provisions” (Government Gazette 154/A’/30.09.2024).
The presentation emphasized that Greece’s development investment planning had been long governed by an outdated legislation since 1952, which had become difficult to follow due to scattered regulations. The new law simplifies and refines the process, introducing improvements such as long-term project planning, better monitoring of public works, and dedicated funding for disaster prevention.
This law is the result of years of work by legal and economic experts, with Michailopoulos & Associates actively contributing since September 2021. We are honored to have been at the forefront of these reforms.
