Gregorios Michailopoulos is the Managing Partner of MICHAILOPOULOS &  ASSOCIATES  Law Firm.

He has substantial experience in providing legal advice and counseling upon Business and Public Law matters.

Greg has consulted and represented many multinational and local business operators, active in several sectors such as infrastructure, energy, consulting, real estate and health, as well as public entities and organisations.

Greg’s litigation experience spans to all jurisdictions of Greek Courts and extends as well to the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU), where he pleaded cases related to Public Procurement Law.

Greg’s robust and creative advocacy, demonstrated also through his involvement in cases of major importance, such as the amendment of the concession contracts of the Greek motorways, the privatization of the regional airports in Greece and the provision of legal counseling upon concession contracts and PPP agreements, has gained wide recognition. Greg has also acted as Head of numerous legal teams providing legal services to the public sector, such as the codification of the legislative framework of Local Government Authorities (municipalities) and of Social Security Law, the modernisation of the ‘Public Investments Program’ legislation and of the ‘Fishing Code’.

From his previous capacity as Head of the Legal Support Unit at the General Secretariat for Investments and Development, attached to the Ministry of Development and Competitiveness (2007-2013), Greg has handled many complicated investment plans and co-financed projects and has been involved in the legal fine tuning of many important legal acts related to development and competitiveness issues. He has also served as an Executive Member at the Management Board of the Hellenic Public Real Estate Corporation and has dealt with the management of several delicate public estates.

In pursuit of his vision for a law firm that would be synonymous with legal excellence and client- centric service, Greg founded in 2013 ‘MICHAILOPOULOS &  ASSOCIATES  Law Firm’. Under his visionary leadership, the firm quickly gained recognition for its commitment to providing innovative legal solutions and unwavering dedication to clients’ needs.

Greg is author of the books “Legal Handbook of Contracts” (Dashöfer publication), “Contracts of Private and Public Law” and “Contracts of Contemporate Commerce” (Sakkoulas publication) and is often invited as speaker to legal seminars, conferences, and educational initiatives, sharing his knowledge and insights in the field of Public Procurement, PPPs and State Aid Law.

His significant legal expertise in investment matters coupled with his business-orientated approach and his insightful knowledge of the public sector could be proven to be a significant asset to businesses aiming to invest or expand to Greece.
